MUSIC SHOWS
Music shows are weekly broadcasted TV programs in South Korea with different artists performing to promote their latest music. Every week, there is a winning song based on criteria set by each show. Stray Kids usually perform and promote their latest release for up to 3 weeks. One of our goals is to reward Stray Kids' hard work and dedication with wins on music shows while promoting — by participating in streaming & voting on various platforms — which in turn boost their brand reputation, helps them in receiving end-of-year awards and more.

Music Show Scoring Criteria
The criteria to win each show varies so it is important that STAYs familiarize themselves with the basics and prepare accordingly. Data is collected in each criteria area leading up to the live broadcast of each music show.

STRAY KIDS' COMEBACK IS USUALLY ON A FRIDAY. THAT MEANS STAYS ONLY HAVE 3 DAYS OF TRACKING TIME (COLLECTION OF DATA) FOR THE 1ST WEEK OF THE COMEBACK PROMOTIONS, WHICH IS THE MOST CRITICAL TIME FOR A MUSIC SHOW WIN, SO WE NEED TO GO ALL-IN, ESPECIALLY ON DIGITALS!

Nominee Selection Criteria:

Top 50 teams as a result of summing up music + albums, video scores, and MBC radio broadcast counts from within the tracking period.

Songs and sound sources of officially debuted singers/groups are tracked and eligible.

OST sound sources and audition program broadcast sound sources are ineligible for MBC review.
-
A song can only win a maximum of 3 times instead of 5 times within the first 2 months of its release. (Rule change April 2024)

OST songs are excluded from the ranking tally.

Sound sources in broadcast programs (e.g., audition, entertainment programs, etc.) are excluded.

Songs judged ineligible for review by SBS will be excluded from the ranking.

Songs that have been ranked #1 for 3 weeks in a row will be inducted into the Hall of Fame of the popular song chart. It will then be excluded from future charts.
